ARRIVAL IN TUSCANY

Arrive at Florence Airport and transfer independently (2 hours) to Castello di Velona, a 5* luxury hotel in the heart of Tuscany. Check in, relax, and then settle in with a cocktail as the itinerary for the next few days is explained during a tour presentation. Dine at the hotel's restaurant.

TUSCANY
After breakfast, visit Pienza, a UNESCO site, for cheese tasting. The local specialty, Pecorino, is said to be enhanced by the sheep's diet of local herbs. Lunch is at a local producer. After lunch, visit Sant'Antimo Abbey, one of Italy's most beautiful Romanesque churches, then return to the hotel for some RR. A wine-paired dinner at a nearby winery completes the day.

TRUFFLE HUNTING EXPERIENCE

Breakfast at the hotel, then lace up your walking boots, as this morning, you'll be out in the gorgeous Tuscan countryside with a local expert truffle hunter and their dog. Listen and learn about the history, traditions, legends, and magic of these "black diamonds," then enjoy a well-deserved truffle-inspired lunch. Return to the hotel via a stop in Montalcino before dinner at the hotel.

FROM TUSCANY TO ROME WITH STOP IN ORVIETO

After breakfast and check-out, depart for Rome with a stop in Orvieto for a guided tour. Explore this stunning hilltop town with panoramic views of vineyards, guided by a knowledgeable local who'll take you through picturesque streets to visit the Gothic cathedral with its sensational frescoes. Continue to Rome (90-minute transfer), check in at Regina Baglioni Hotel, and enjoy a welcome dinner. Overnight in Rome.

WALKING TOUR OF ROME AND TRANSFER TO CIVITAVECCHIA PORT

After breakfast and check out, board a private vehicle to start your walking tour of Rome. Visit epic and iconic landmarks, including the Colosseum, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain, not forgetting to toss your coin in for good luck. Carry on to the colorful and busy Campo dei Fiori market, and then conclude with a visit to the Vicus Caprarius archaeological site before heading to Civitavecchia Port.
