Sail across turquoise seas on this round-trip from the Florida coast, a seductive mix of time spent on tropical islands and in the sumptuous surroundings of our beautiful ship. Begin with a day at sea and relax into the life onboard before we reach Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos, to wiggle our toes in the sands and enjoy superb snorkeling amid coral gardens. Next, Punta Cana, home to the longest stretch of white-sand beach in the Caribbean, and lively San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico, where the cobbled streets are lined with charming pastel-colored houses and rum bars. Then it’s on to see and be seen in the chic boutiques and stylish restaurants of glamorous Gustavia, St. Barts. After two blissful days at sea, we come to Nassau in the Bahamas, with its trio of historic forts to explore. Finally, we reach Fort Lauderdale and our journey’s end.

The city also boasts a diverse range of attractions, including world-class museums, lush parks, and bustling nightlife.

There are so many ways to explore, from dune-buggy rides through ancient palm groves to eco-friendly walking trails in Bavaro Park, and encounters with some of the 150 animal species – including iguanas, dolphins, sea lions, and parrots – that call Manati Park home. The 500-year-old town of Higuey is the place to browse for souvenirs, shop for colorful ceramics and textiles in the lively Municipal Market, and sample a wicked mamajuana rum cocktail (or two).

The capital of Puerto Rico is a proud place that makes a strong impression even on approach. Sail into harbor and spot the sights: El Morro, a 16th-century citadel which once defended the island from attack; Castillo San Cristobal, a fearsome fortress built to scare away invaders; and La Fortaleza, impressive home of the Governor. Once ashore, step back in time along cobblestone streets and through squares flanked by beautiful pastel-colored Spanish colonial buildings. Find a shady perch in one of the cafés, bars or restaurants to watch the world go by with a piña colada – invented here in the 1950s. There are good sands to relax on, too, such asIsla Verde Beach. Browsing the art galleries on Calle del Cristo, watching the street performers on Paseo de la Princesa, birdwatching in El Yunque, the only tropical forest in US territory.
