A sea day south brings us to Antsiranana, Madagascar's under-the-radar town on the island's northern tip. Friendly-faced lemurs line up to greet you next in Nosy Be; take a trip to nearby Nosy Komba to see these bright-eyed, bushy-tailed mammals in their natural habitat. Continue hugging the island's west coast down to Mahajanga, home of the astonishing 1,000-year-old Baobab tree (one of the oldest in the country), then cross the Mozambique Channel to Mamoudzou, a nature-first paradise in Mayotte. A day exploring Zanzibar's spice forests is the final call before we disembark in Kenya.
