The journey begins along Avenue Royale toward Montmorency Falls. Enjoy the panorama from atop this 272-foot-high waterfall, approximately 90 feet higher than Niagara Falls. Your journey begins as your tour guide describes the day when local ships were dispatched to rescue the victims of the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Gain additional perspective on the event when you pause at the Fairview Cemetery to contemplate the rows of gravestones that mark the final resting place of 121 souls who perished in the North Atlantic Sea. Next, proceed to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, which houses a permanent Titanic exhibit. Here, you will have the chance to inspect photographs, wooden artifacts, and the only intact Titanic deck chair in the world. You will also learn about the devastating Halifax Explosion, which occurred just five years after the sinking of Titanic. In 1917, the Mont Blanc, a French ship loaded with munitions, collided with the Belgian Relief ship, Imo, in the Halifax harbor. The resulting explosion leveled the north end of Halifax, killing or injuring thousands. In addition to hearing facts and figures concerning these disasters at sea, you will discover many stories of compassion as the world reached out to help Halifax and its residents overcome the loss and rebuild their lives.&nbsp;

Here on the Bay of Fundy, a rare phenomenon known as the Reversing Rapids occurs when high bay tides collide with the Saint John River. History is impressive, too, with Canada’s oldest continuously operating farmers’ market and oldest museum. Nearby, Irving Nature Park’s salt marshes, volcanic rock and forests are explored on winding trails.

Your excursion begins at the pier where you will board your coach and get acquainted with ther professional photographer, who will be your photography guide. You will first drive to Seeley&rsquo;s Cove Wharf, a working fishing wharf with beautiful views across the basin. After time here to capture your photos, under the guidance of a seasoned professional, you&rsquo;ll travel to Lepreau Falls, a provincial park where the Lepreau River spills over a rocky ledge into waterfalls. Some of the rocks here are as old as 300 million years and very photogenic. Your next stop will be Mill Pond Covered Bridge spanning Little Lepreau River. These unique wooden covered bridges were once an integral part of life in New Brunswick communities. Your final stop takes you to Haggerty&rsquo;s Cove Beach, a beautiful expanse of sandy beach on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. After your visit here, return to the pier and your ship with great memories of what you learned and photographed during your visit to the Bay of Fundy coast.

Embark on a mindful outdoor experience with Heather Purcell, a Certified Health and Wellness Coach who has more than 25 years&rsquo; experience in teaching, guiding, motivating and inspiring individuals toward optimal health and wellness. Heather has a lifetime of passion for the outdoors and is eager to share the history of the location, the land and the ecosystems that live within. You will be taken on an experience with several activities that will guide all of your senses to an openness and awareness of self and place. These include a centering activity (a short guided breathing meditation exercise), sensory activity (an opening the senses of sight, touch, and smell), a mindful movement (slow walk into the forest), a sitting spot (an opportunity for quiet contemplation), and a council practice. Upon completion, a presentation of a small handmade gift will be given as a reminder of their experience.&nbsp;

Learn the history of this beautiful region, nestled along the banks of the Saint John River with a 25-year certified health and wellness expert. Guests will participate in several activities to guide the senses, including Aruyveda meditation.&nbsp;

Forest Bathing & Meditation

Experience the beauty of the Hammond River and explore the waters in a kayak. Your guide will greet you at the cruise terminal and will share stories of the region during the transport to the start of your journey at Bater Brook.&nbsp; You will begin your adventure with a safety briefing, life jacket fitting and introductions before you set off beginning on Bater Brook and then connect to the Hammond River. Your journey has you on the water for approximately 90 minutes, passing by rural landscapes, local swimming holes, farms and the Darlings Island Covered Bridge. Be on the lookout for wildlife, flying fish, and maybe even a bald eagle soaring by overhead. &nbsp; Once you have completed the paddling portion of your journey, you will join your guide for a shoreside bonfire with s&#39;mores and Canadian treats to round out your day. Gain a deeper understanding of the local Jewish history with this visit to the Jewish Historical Museum. Founded in 1986, this is the only Jewish Museum in Atlantic Canada, and exhibits items procured mostly through donations. Learn about the Jewish community in Saint John and the Jewish culture in general with a survey of the museum&rsquo;s artifacts as well as enjoy a tour of a Hebrew classroom, the chapel and the art gallery. You will also travel to the Shaarei Zedek Cemetery, which began in 1860 as a modest family plot. Learn about this fascinating system on a nature walk at the Irving Nature Park, a haven of winding roads, nature trails and rugged coastline teeming with birds, wildlife and harbor seals. Following your naturalist guide, embark on a walk that will reveal the richness of intertidal life, the flora and fauna found within an Acadian Forest, and a breathtaking coastline with a wonderful coastal habitat. During your three-mile hike, stop at a covered picnic area to enjoy a break and to soak in the scenery.
