For any content you submit, we may use, copy, modify, adapt, publish or incorporate such content into forms of marketing messaging and advertising for our social accounts, email marketing, print brochures and our website.

We may share the personal data we collect with other Supplier Partners and Service Providers. We only share personal data that enable our Supplier Partners to provide their services. We work with carefully selected Service Providers that carry out certain functions on our behalf, including for example, companies that help us with our technology services, storing and combining data, and processing payments. We only share personal data that enable our Service Providers to effectively provide their services. When we share personal data with these companies we require them store and process it securely, and they must not use your personal data for their own marketing purposes.

We may also need to share personal data with other organisations in certain circumstances:

if the law or a public authority says we must share the personal data;

if we need to share personal data in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (this includes providing personal data to others for the purposes of preventing fraud and reducing credit risk);

to an organisation we sell or transfer (or enter into negotiations to sell or transfer) any of our businesses or any of our rights or obligations under any agreement we may have with you. The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area “EEA”). In order for you to travel overseas, we may be required to disclose certain of your personal data to government bodies or other authorities in Cyprus and in other countries, such as those responsible for immigration, border control, security and anti-terrorism. Even if it is not mandatory for us to provide information to such authorities, we may exercise our discretion to assist them where appropriate.

A&K Travel will collect personal data from you when you interact with any of the A&K Travel websites, contact any of its subsidiary companies’ reservations departments, use our services, or purchase our products.


We collect Guest Personal Data about or generated by any device you have used to access the websites of subsidiary companies, or when you use Wi-Fi while traveling with A&K Travel. Such collected data could include contact details (such as email address) and previous purchase history or interests. We receive Guest Personal Data about you from our third-party affiliates or partners and from marketing companies that provide us with such information as a part of their relationship with us. We receive Guest Personal Data from third party travel agents who transfer Guest Personal Data to us when you purchase products or services from them in connection with services that we provide, and other service providers performing services on our behalf. A&K Travel feels strongly about protecting the privacy of children. A&K Travel’s websites are not targeted for use by minors under the age of 18 (“minors”). Process transactions you enter into with us (e.g., purchase of goods and services, refunds, discounts and offers)

The type of Guest Personal Data collected by A&K Travel may vary from country to country, and in some countries A&K Travel might not collect all of the categories of Guest Personal Data listed above.

A&K Travel is committed to only collecting and processing the minimum amount of data from you that is necessary to the purposes of our data processing activities, and to retain such data only if required to fulfil such purposes. Where applicable, if A&K Travel intends to further process the personal data for a purpose other than that for which the personal data was initially collected, A&K Travel shall, prior to such processing, provide you with any relevant information on such additional purpose, and, to the extent required by applicable law, obtain your consent for this.

While traveling with A&K Travel subsidiary companies:

A&K Travel processes Guest Personal Data when you interact with us offline. Additionally, when you use electronic or RFID technologies, or use on-premise digital services, we may collect browsing information including but not limited to, search history, server logs, application logs, browsing data, first party cookies, third party cookies, pixel tags and clear gifs. In addition, we may process this data in combination with other data that we collect and/or create as necessary in connection with certain legitimate business interests in (i) verifying your identity for authentication and security purposes; and (ii) to prevent fraud.


We may operate CCTV or security cameras on properties operated or owned by A&K Travel subsidiary companies. In connection with these systems, we may collect and/or create Guest Personal Data as necessary in connection with certain legitimate business interests, such as (i) ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees; (ii) recording and investigating health and safety incidents; (iii) keeping track of guests and employees for safety and commercial purposes; and (iv) creating aggregate data.

When you use our digital services, we may collect and process device and network data. We use this data as necessary to fulfil guests’ requests. We may also collect and process data that we collect, create, and/or receive (including through the use of cookies and similar technologies). We typically use this data as necessary in connection with certain legitimate business interests, such as ensuring the security of our websites and other technology systems.

We and certain third parties process Guest Personal Data we hold for certain purposes including but not limited to distribute marketing communications and to create marketing profiles, in connection with online advertising, including targeted advertising, data sales, personalization and guest profiles.

In order to understand our guests’ preferences, and better recommend bespoke products and services we may create a “Guest Profile” by linking together and analyzing Guest Personal Data collected in the following circumstances: (i) when you purchase our products and services; (ii) when you travel with companies owned or operated by A&K Travel and its subsidiary companies; (iii) when you use our digital services; (iv) through cookies and other tracking technologies; (v) when you contact us or submit information to us; and (vi) through feedback and surveys.


During our interactions we may collect special categories of personal data about you as detailed below. This may be because you want us to have the information or inadvertently as result of a group you travel with (please see example below). It may also be because we need to know certain personal data about you which is special category data in order that we can provide you with the best possible service and advise you whether a trip is suitable for you. Health is one of the best examples of this.

E.g. If we receive a group booking from a specific religious association we will inadvertently have details of religious beliefs of those individuals. The same can be said for groups from political associations and trade union associations.

E.g. We are sometimes asked whether certain medication is allowed to be taken into certain jurisdictions which discloses certain medical conditions.

Other special category of personal data which we may end up receiving from you include details about your:

dietary requirements which may disclose your religious or philosophical beliefs;

You are not under any obligation to consent to us processing or disclosing your sensitive information in the manner described above and in our Notice. However, if you don’t agree then we won’t be able to process your data or transfer your data to our suppliers. As you will appreciate it would then be difficult to actually provide your holiday because making your holiday arrangements involves processing your data and transferring your data to our suppliers in order that they can provide the services.

If you have concerns with us processing or transferring your data then please discuss that with us at your earliest convenience in order that we can book your holiday and provide you with the necessary services.

If you are happy to consent to our use of your sensitive information, you will also be able to withdraw your consent at any time. However, as this will prevent us from providing your holiday, we will be required to treat any withdrawal of consent as a cancellation of your booking and the cancellation charges in the Booking Terms and Conditions for your booking will become payable..


IV. THE LEGAL GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING GUEST PERSONAL DATA

In most instances, we process your personal data under the legitimate interests of providing you products and services. In other instances, we obtain your consent to process your personal data where we are required to do so by applicable law – for example, where the personal data we are collecting from you is special category personal data and we are not lawfully permitted to process your personal data on any other legal grounds. Where we rely on your consent for processing your personal data, you may withdraw your consent at any time, by contacting us at 

. Please note, however, that withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on the consent you gave prior to withdrawal. For direct marketing, we rely on our legitimate interests when applicable law does not require your consent.

Marseille to Civitavecchia (Rome)

Leaving Marseille’s Calanques in our wake, we cross into Spanish waters for a few days, calling first at Mahón, the small and elegant capital of the island of Menorca, and then on to the awe-inspiring city of Barcelona. Here, marvel at Gaudí’s extraordinary architecture, hop between the lively tapas bars of the Gothic Quarter, and enjoy the world-class museums and galleries. A day at sea gives you time to recharge before we arrive in Monte Carlo just in time for the Monaco Grand Prix. Expect plenty of excitement as race weekend takes over these historic streets. Next we return to France to visit Villefranche-sur-Mer, a treasure trove of historical, cultural, and natural wonders that captivated the likes of the writer Jean Cocteau. Then we arrive in Italy, visiting Porto Venere, from where you can explore the enchanting coastal villages of the Cinque Terre, and Livorno, gateway to Tuscany, last Civitavecchia where our journey's end.

Civitavecchia (Rome) to Barcelona

We leave the wonders of Rome behind as we chart a course along Italy’s famed Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful shorelines in the world, with pretty colored houses clinging to the cliffs above the cerulean waters. First, we call at Sorrento, to admire the views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, and enjoy a spritz in a shady trattoria. We then sail to Palermo, the capital of the island of Sicily and positively bursting with cultural and historical treasures, from its 9th-century palace and 12th-century cathedral, to its lively markets and stylish restaurants. Next, we dip down to touch the coast of North Africa with a stop in La Goulette, Tunisia, from where you can visit the ruins of the ancient city of Carthage, and the pretty blue-and-white town of Sidi Bou Said. Enjoy a relaxing day at sea while we journey further along the coast to explore the fort and secret tunnels of the Spanish enclave of Melilla. Then we explore the Spanish mainland: Motril brings lovely beaches and the opportunity to travel to Granada’s famed Alhambra; dynamic Alicante wows with its modern architecture; and Valencia tantalizes the tastebuds with its incredible restaurants (it is the birthplace of paella, after all). After a sea day, we visit South Korea’s Jeju island and then turn east to the Japanese city Beppu, famous for its hot springs. Our final port of call is Kochi, with its Shogun castle, before we sail back to Tokyo.

Enjoy a 12-day voyage from Japan to South Korea. After embarking in Tokyo, we sail to Hakodate and then on to Aomori, renowned for its colorful fish markets and a vibrant modern art gallery. Turning south, we continue to Sakata, with its traditional architecture and historic rice warehouses, and then head to Niigata, which is famous for its surrounding rice fields. South again, we call in at Kanazawa, where you can admire the beautiful garden of Kenrokuen, and sail on to Maizuru, which puts Kyoto within reach. Our next port of call is Sakaiminato from where we leave Japan and cross the Korea Strait to Busan, much loved by Koreans for its setting and magnificent temple of Beomeo-sa. After a final relaxing day at sea, we disembark at Incheon near Seoul.

Incheon (Seoul) to Tokyo

Lessons from history in the home of Madama Butterfly Sail from South Korea to Japan, taking in two of the world’s most poignant cities. After embarking in Incheon near Seoul, we sail to Korea’s Jeju island before crossing the Korea Strait to Nagasaki, a place that bears the terrible scars of war but is also famous as the setting of the romantic opera Madama Butterfly. After a day at sea, we reach the turquoise waters of the Miyako islands and then continue to the Okinawa archipelago. Turning north, a day on the ocean brings us to Aburatsu with its stunning coastal scenery, and then Hiroshima, to see its Peace Museum and discover life here today. Next, we stop at Kobe, which is building a formidable reputation with foodies, before we head east to dynamic Tokyo, where we disembark.

Try a taste of Crystal life on a roundtrip voyage from Barcelona. Short but sweet, this voyage hops from Spain to France and back. We start in the buzzing Catalan capital, where you can stroll the famous tree-lined promenade, La Rambla, gaze in awe at the fantastical buildings of the 19th-century architect Antonio Gaudí, and admire early works by Pablo Picasso in the museum dedicated to the artist. Then we cross the border to France and the equally enthralling port of Marseille, which revels in its history as a major trading hub with its cosmopolitan mix of culture and cuisine. Soak it all up as you wander around the Vieux Port and past the old merchant’s houses on La Canebière. On our return, we’ll call at Sète to dine on oysters from the lagoon and laze on the beach, before heading back to Barcelona once more.

Marseille (Provence) to Civitavecchia (Rome)

Embark on a voyage that calls at some of the Mediterranean’s most intriguing island destinations. This odyssey begins in the cosmopolitan city of Marseille in France, before sailing to the pretty town of Menton on the French Riviera. Next on our list is Genoa, on Italy's mainland, where the grand architecture is evidence of the port's former glory days as an influential maritime power. Livorno opens up the possibility of trips to Florence, Pisa and the vineyards of Chianti, before we continue south. Little-visited Portoferraio in Elba and Olbia in Sardinia promise great beaches and fantastic food, as does Porto Santo Stefano on the south coast of Tuscany, a holiday hotspot for in-the-know Italians. All good things must come to an end, in our case in Rome.

This dazzling itinerary takes in the best of the Western Mediterranean, meandering around the pick of the ports between Rome and Barcelona. Our voyage begins in Rome, amid the ancient streets and palazzos. Next, we head to Cagliari in the south of Sardinia, with its medieval walled quarter and lively marina. After all that sightseeing, you will be ready for an enjoyable day relaxing at sea as we cross continents to Africa for Tunis on the coast of Tunisia. Here, shopping in the city’s souks is sure to supply some unusual souvenirs and gifts to take home. Three exquisite Spanish destinations complete our cruise. First, elegant Palma de Mallorca, with its palm-fringed waterfront, then futuristic Valencia, and finally, the ever-lively streets of Barcelona.

Barcelona to Marseille (Provence)

Drink in some of the Mediterranean's most iconic imagery on this cruise. Casting off from Barcelona, your first port of call is Cartagena, one of Spain's most historical cities, before Malaga Picasso's birthplace and the gateway to the Costa del Sol. Gibraltar offers a little taste of the UK next, then it's back onboard for a sea day and some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Sample the seafood in Porto Mahon next before ramping up the glamour in St. Tropez. Disembark in Marseille.

Mumbai to Mahe

Explore Asia’s island treasures during the next 18 nights, with each port revealing a different aspect of the continent. Leaving Mumbai, travel to Mormugao in Goa, where Buddhist temples and Catholic churches sit side by side. Discover Sri Lanka’s energetic capital, Colombo, before a relaxing day at sea crossing the Indian Ocean to the Maldives, an impossibly beautiful place above and below the waves. Two further sea days promise more stunning island escapes, this time in the Seychelles.

Mahe to Cape Town

Visit Africa’s beautiful east coast on this two-week cruise. Departing Kenya’s cosmopolitan city of Mombasa, continue to Zanzibar to visit the historic Swahili trading port of Stone Town. Next, we visit Mozambique, with its golden beaches and reminders of 16th-century colonial days, before ticking off four South African ports – Durban, Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, and Cape Town, the latter for an overnight. Here, there`s a chance to enjoy a memorable safari experience with Abercrombie Kent.

Cape Town to Tema

Africa's cultural and natural wonders are the theme of this cruise. After an overnight in Cape Town, followed by two sea days, our first stop is Walvis Bay in Namibia for a wildlife encounter arranged by our expert partner Abercrombie Kent. Angola provides the gateway to the Namib desert and a chance to see less-visited Luanda, as well as one of Africa's oldest former colonial settlements, São Tomé. The journey ends in Cotonou, in Benin, a modern city where traditions such as animism are still part of daily life.

Tema to Lisbon

With an equal number of days at sea and on shore, this voyage balances excitement and relaxation. Casting off from Tema, we continue the Ghanaian adventure in Takoradi, where the Kakum National Park offers a treetop walk with wonderful views. In Porto Praia, the capital of the largest of the Cape Verde islands, the hand of 16th-century colonizers remains evident in the royal fortress. Next, sample Spanish life on two of the Canary Islands, and overnight in the flower-filled island of Madeira, before disembarking in Lisbon.

Lisbon to Civitavecchia (Rome)

Embark on a captivating cruise from Lisbon to Rome, exploring the Spanish and Italian coastlines along the way. After a restful day at sea, we arrive in the Spanish city of Cartagena, which brims with ancient history. Next, we visit Valencia to see its fabulous modern architecture, then taste Menorcan cuisine in Mahón, and enjoy the sandy bays of Sardinia. Finally, Porto Santo Stefano reveals another side of Tuscany with its clear seas and wild nature, before we reach our final stop, Rome.

Rio de Janeiro to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

This exciting journey crosses from the east coast of South America to the seas off the west coast of Africa. Our voyage begins with a suitably celebratory overnight stay in Rio de Janeiro just as the world-famous Carnival takes over this effervescent city. If you danced til dawn, you'll be thankful to spend two relaxing days at sea while we sail north. Our first ports of call are Ilhéus and Salvador de Bahia, a former colonial capital of the Portuguese. Next stop Recife for more carnival culture and colonial history, then it's time to relax onboard again while we travel across the Atlantic to Santiago and São Vincente, two of the Cape Verde Islands. Three final days at sea will leave you feeling rested and ready to disembark and explore the Canary Islands.

Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to Lisbon

Four days in Spain's Canary Islands open this voyage via Africa to the capital of Portugal. Departing Gran Canaria, we spend two days in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the ideal opportunity to visit San Cristóbal de La Laguna, recognized by UNESCO for its architectural riches, before heading to Lanzarote to admire the striking volcanic landscape. Next, we switch continents to Africa and call by Morocco, where Agadir's history absorbs and Casablanca's jumble of streets and markets invigorate. Returning to Europe, we reach Portimão on Portugal's Algarve for an irresistible chance to sunbathe on its long stretches of sand. An overnight stay in Lisbon marks the end of our voyage, with plenty of time to sample the city's old-world charm – as well as its delicious custard tarts.
